The MAAB jam as a line of inquiry

Wiki basically says that music probably started as a

response to natural sounds. What we brought to that
was our human knack for recognising patterns, and
then making patterns of their own.




Little kids do it all the time- scribbling, tasting, tapping,
touching everything around them. Making noise. Life
is a series of question and answer sessions- about
everything.





Really popular strings of question and answer sessions
about noises are also known as songs.




Usually this habit is beaten out of us by the time we're
twelve.




Luckily for the rest of us there's always a few smart-asses
who recognise that this question and answer dialogue is a
process that never ends.
